Maintenance Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time

 

Job Overview 

Responsible for maintaining and organizing spare inventory and assist/coordinate any repair and maintaining of equipment, physical structures and grounds keeping.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Coordinate between production and scheduler for preventative maintenance on machines with minimum downtime 

  • Responsible for procuring, organizing and maintaining appropriate levels of inventory and month end cycle counts 

  • Ensure repairs are adequate and are in compliance with written plans, programs and procedure and the repair is documented and all parts used is reconciled 

  • Coordinate all PM programs and update work order system as jobs are completed 

  • Coordinate with outside contractors to do necessary repairs, work, PM or fabricating spare parts 

  • Work from blue prints, shop drawings, schematics, sketches, and written instructions 

  • Support PM and any repair work or troubleshooting. 

  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and repairs or replaces defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. 

  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. 

  • Install special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools. 

  • May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. 

  • Responsible for the safekeeping of precision measuring instruments and all tools issued to the maintenance area 

  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs 

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations 

  • Position requires lifting and/or carrying minimum 50 Lbs, standing for the majority of the shift, using a wide range of motion to include working in awkward physical positions. 

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of maintenance and repair experience with mechanical equipment and machinery 

  • Understand written and verbal communication in English to comply with Company and area safety policies and practices 

  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments commonly used in the trade i.e. rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. 

  • Proficient with power and hand tools 

  • Detailed Oriented 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions
